- Civil war brogans pattern works and center seam mocasons are some that the Militia would have worn Militia being Volunteers from home (farmers,carpenters trappers,Lawyers,etc)

Hey Y'all, I am new here and know nothing about this war. I do have a friend who
s into it reenacting. Basically I make boots and shoes of the 1860's to 1880's.
hat would the soldiers have worn during 1812? I am sure they would have worn
ull Wellingtons, Hussar and Hessian boots (which I make excellent copies), but
hat of shoes? I can find no reference on the web.
