      Hello from Fort George!

      Well, I have finally jumped through the last administrative hoop and the registration packages are finally good to go. I'm happy to see that I'm not the only one a bit behind in getting these things out. Originally I want to make the form available on-line (similar to Fort Erie's) however by the time I get the OK it will be too late. Therefore on our web site under events is my contact information if you e-mail me I will send you the forms. You can then e-mail them back to me, fax them or mail them to the address provided.

      For re-enacting units there are two forms to fill out. Only UNIT COMMANDERS that will be attending the event are required to fill out the forms. The first is general information very similar to what Old Fort Erie's is like. The Second is for insurance purposes so we can make sure that everyone is covered under our volunteer insurance. As you will see on the Volunteer form that we are asking for names of ALL people in the unit that might be attending the event (Soldiers, women children ect..). They do not have to initial the form as that will be done once they arrive. This will make registration when they arrive very simple. Registration will be located in the Bus Parking lot directly in front of the camp. Times and locations are included in the registration package. Regulations regarding Infantry, Cavalry and Artillery can be found in our Black Powder Regs which will also be included with your registration Package.

      For Merchants there are also 2 forms to fill out. Sioux Spencer has graciously offered to assist us with the set up so some of you may recognize the layout of the package from previous events. There is also a Parks Canada Business Licence that needs to be filled. Licence fee will be $40.00. All other information is included in the registration package that we will provide.

      We are planning a very exciting event. The schedule will be provided when you arrive however we are planning to have 3 battles on Saturday and 1 on Sunday. The first battle on Saturday will be "The Bombardment of Fort George" which will feature the Artillery!!!! The Battle of Fort George will be in the afternoon on the main Battlefield. Saturday night will be the "Evening Tactical" where you will be fighting through the actual Fort (including pyro!). Please also indicate on your registration if there are any demonstrations that you would like to perform and we will include them on the schedule (Music, Surgery, ect...). For those of you know about my previous employment we will also be giving away prizes
      for best death, longest distance travelled and a random door prize (sorry Jim, I hope I didn't steal your thunder
