I think I may have deleted the original post, which Regiment do you belong to that requires the '08 pattern? Email me off list and I can send you a list of suppliers of buttons of those who specialize in American buttons exclusively, including the one we use. The 21st's buttons were modeled after the '08 pattern.
While I do think very highly of Peter's work, I have purchased several thousand dollars worth of his merchandise over the years, I find his American selection is very lacking. This could be, perhaps this is due to the woeful lack of American units (proportionally) so he gets few requests. My personal belief is that for American buttons, Peter is not the best button maker in the hobby.
With all button makers expect a bit of a lag time, 2-4 months is usual, as it does take time to create a Master button, but whomever you decided to go with, ask to see the Master or highly detailed pictures, before it goes to production, so that you can make sure that what they are producing is what you have in mind. If they refuse to show you the Master, or pictures of it, I would look elsewhere.
