        The Simcoe County (Georgian Bay) War of 1812 Bicentennial Commemoration
        Group is looking to engage the services of a Project Director.

        Working under the guidance and direction of the Core Committee, the
        successful candidate will become a member of the War of 1812 Bicentennial
        team. The candidate will travel extensively throughout the region
        stretching from Barrie to Collingwood as well as to Southern Ontario
        developing important early stage partnerships.



        This is a full-time position at 35 hours per week for 12 months with
        flexible hours plus a bonus structure paid on deliverables.



        The main responsibility of the Project Director is to provide administrative
        support to the Core Committee responsible for all aspects of the planning of
        the Southern Georgian Bay Region War of 1812 Bicentennial Celebrations.

        Key Deliverables:

        a.. Development of Marketing and Communications Strategy
        b.. Development of a Funding Strategy and overall budget
        c.. Creation of Website
        d.. Other relevant communications materials including logos, brochures,
        event fliers, etc.
        The successful candidate will possess:

        · Knowledge of local 1812 sites and
        communities

        · Knowledge of Marketing and Communications

        · Strong ability to work with committees,
        municipalities

        · Proven Five years of working as a Project
        Director/Coordinator

        · Proven track record of Fund Raising and
        Grant Writing
