      Hello All

It's that time of year again. The cucumbers and tomatoes are
ripening on the vine, the raspberries are pretty darn good and
hundreds of screaming Redcoats are pouring into the ditches. Time to
stoke up the old port fire and get your shootin' gear ready to make
them regret the day they were born.

The 22nd Annual (that's right some on this list have been to all 22
but they started as toddlers) Reenactment of The Siege of Fort Erie
is being held on August 9th & 10th. If your group or sutlery is not
registered or you want to check out the schedule, go to
      oldforterie.com

Only unit or group leaders should register but everyone should check
out the Site Rules and Regulations located at the end of the on-line
form. There are some helpful suggestions, like: don't camp near the
6th Foot Lights. The Merchants' Row could be become a merchants'
row if you are not registered with your space requirements. Updates
are allowed from unit or group leaders and merchants, please indicate
if it is an update. The registrations last year were spot on -
      thanks.

The battles at this event are free for the public and the Saturday
night post battle tour pays for much of this event. A big thank you
to the die-hards who help out every year. Bottled water and musket
ammo will be available for those assisting with the tours.

      Thanks for your time.
      Jim
