      Notice Of Lieutenancy Board

      This is to serve notice that a Lieutenancy Board will be convened at One Bell in the Forenoon Watch, or Eight Thirty o' the Clock in the Morning, on Sunday, July 20th next, at a venue at Discovery Harbour to be selected by the Event Chairman, Lt. Thomas Hurlbut, to Pass for Examination the following candidate:

      Acting Lieutenant Charles Fitton

      Due to changing requirements and responsibilities, the Board shall consist of the following members:

      Commodore pro tem V. Suthren, Chair
      Captain G. Bibby
      Commander P. Rindlisbacher
      Acting Commander P. Schifferdecker
      A member if Duty Allows: Commander M. Pergunas

      Observers: Lt Commander G Arbuckle, Staff Officer (Heritage), Maritime Command; Lt.(N) C Walkinshaw, Staff Officer, Canadian Naval Centennial, Maritime Command

      These officers are to Repair aboard ten minutes before the Convening of the Board, in uniform with headdress, but without arms. The Examination Questions will be reviewed at that time before Entry of the Candidate.

      The Candidate shall present himself in uniform, with headdress but without arms, bearing any appropriate Certificates, outside the Venue and shall wait until the Sentry escorts him in to the Board.

      On completion of the Board the candidate shall be escorted by the Sentry to outside the Chamber, there to await the decision of the Board, which will be communicated to him within a short period.
