Mississinewa 1812 is not a recreation of the Battle of Mississinewa
      fought on December 17-18, 1812.
Rather it is five battle re-enactments choreographed by the attending
      re-enactors.

There were no red coats at the original battle in 1812.

The Commanders for this year are
      Steve Abolt, USA Commander
      and
      Tim Pickles, Crown Forces Commander.
