      Fort Meigs State Memorial Military History Roundtable Lecture Series



      Dr. Al Cave, Professor of History at the University of
      Toledo, is the speaker on Thursday, October 19 at the Fort Meigs
      Visitor Center in Perrysburg. The meeting starts at 7:30 PM and is
      free and open to the public.



      The subject of Dr. Cave's talk is "Andrew Jackson and the Creek Civil
      War." Dr. Cave has authored six books of which two relate to Jackson—
      Jacksonian Democracy and The Historians and An American Conservative
      in the Age of Jackson. He has written over 40 articles of which about
      half relate to the Andrew Jackson period of history. He is considered
      a Jacksonian Scholar.



      The Lecture will be presented at Fort Meigs in the Visitor
      Center located at 29100 West River Road in Perrysburg, Ohio on
      Thursday, October 19 at 7:30 PM. The program is sponsored by the
      Anderton Bentley Fund in memory of Christopher Perky who served at
      Fort Meigs during the War of 1812.
