Curator's Lecture Series at the Lundy's Lane Historical Museum
The Third in the Curator's Lecture Series will take place at the
Lundy's Lane Historical Museum on Monday, December 5th, 2005 at 7:00
This series of in-depth looks at the history of Niagara Falls as seen
through a selection of exhibits at the Museum will take a closer
"Bayonet the Whole - The Storming of Fort Niagara"
The evening will begin with a Curator's Tour of the War of 1812
exhibit at the Lundy's Lane Historical Museum. This exhibit
showcases a collection of nationally significant objects from the War
of 1812, including, uniforms, weapons, buttons, and much more.
A lecture will follow by Doug DeCroix, Director of Research and
Special Projects at Old Fort Niagara. To celebrate the anniversary
of the storming of Fort Niagara on December 13th, 1813, Mr. DeCroix
will speak on the events that occurred leading up to the battle, the
fateful day and the aftermath.
Refreshments will follow.
Cost for the evening will be $5.00 - payable at the door.
This event is limited to 25 people, therefore reservations are
recommended by calling the Lundy's Lane Historical Museum.
All proceeds from the evening will be directed towards on-going
programming at the Lundy's Lane Historical Museum.
