There were a number of replica small truck guns of similar description which
were made for the Canadian Forces Tattoo in 1967 and then found their way to
the Canadian War Museum, from which a few left in legitimate trade exchanges
with other museums and bonafide collectors who may now have de-accessioned
them. The cascabel was flattened on either side rather than round and had a
hole drilled through the centre for a breeching line. Though soundly made,
any of these guns found and looked at for potential firing should be tested
thoroughly and rigorously beforehand for microcrystalline cracking or other
defects, and the opinion of a professional solicited.
