      For those intrepid souls that intend braving temperatures droping into the
      50s and only rising to a posible high of 70 in order to attend the Battle of New
      Orleans Commemoration here are some details od the Saturday morning tactical
      at Torres Park.

      Of necesity the action will be quite small and again be based on the night
      battle of the 23rd December 1814.

      The day will start with colours at the Park (NPS) at 8.00 and the troops
      leaving for Torres Park imediatly following
      8:30 Breakfast at the St. Bernard Community Center (Ham, eggs,
      grits, trout,fruit)
      9:45-10:15 St. Bernard Community Band (troops begin assembling)
      10:15-10:25 Speech by David Vitter, recently elected Congressman
      10:25-10:45 Battle, the important thing is to keep it exciting and lively.
      10:45-10:55 A salute to Pat Taylor a local buisnessman and philanthropist
      who founded the TOPS program to help underprivilaged children to got to
      college died recently. We will fire 3 shots and, if we have a piper, play Amazing
      Grace.
      11:00 (or thereabouts) return to park.

      There will be an officers briefing on Friday following the commanders
      briefing.
