- From: "Robert White" <whiteesq@...>
Is it OK for a yank to have a British "Uncle". If so, I agree with Uncle
Larry. DG is indeed a decent firm to do business with even for us yanks.
L2: Unkle Larry is not British ... jest plays one .. on TV, in Movies and at
RW: I guess they like us even better now that our money has almost as many
colors as Canada :-)
L2: They like 'ALL" $$$$$$ no matter what colour (color) it is!
RW: If you want to see what their Baker rifles are like, order one.
L2: Good idea ooorrrrrrrr go to http://www.militaryheritage.com/baker.htm
first for some photos
RW: ... if you are going to attend an event where his Honor Peter Twist is
also attending that if you ask he'll bring one along.
L2: a word of caution ... by the time Mr. Twist gets some requests to do
just that, the Discriminating General's warehouse is out of the product
..... just lucky a sword was in stock for a Gentleman at Fort Niagara ....
even tho the request was sent some time ago!
RW: He brought several of his newer weapons and pistols with him to the
School of the Sailor in Kingston so we could examine them and he gave a
little talk on them. I personally did not like the presentation as it
convinced me that I have to spend some more money to get me a "pistol".
L2: That is why YOUR GOD invented money ... to blow it on stuff!
You do know the one with the most stuff ....... WINS! :-)
RW: I'm a saving right now and have to figure out how I can smuggle it home
without the Mrs. seeing it for awhile so I can say "Oh, I've had that
L2: Mr. White ... SAVING for Stuff is a GOOD THING ......... :-)
I saved all year for Mississinewa Oct 8-10
Over 125 booths on SUTLER ROW !!!!!!!!!
