Your request for the date of the 2004 River Raisin Battlefield Memorial
Annual Commemoration Ceremony was forwarded to me. It will be held
      January 17, 2004.

The tentative schedule will have the ceremony at the Battlefield Visitor
Center starting earlier than usual, at 11am. A sloppy joe lunch will be
provided for participants in period dress at 12 noon at the UAW hall
directly north of the Visitor Center. There will be public presentations
at 1:30 and 2:45. At 6pm, after a break to allow people to go out to grab
a bite to eat, we hope to be able to premiere the video about the battle,
which we've been filming for the last couple of years. (That depends on
whether the editing has been completed by then.)

The public presentations will consist of a talk by Dr. Mike Pratt on the
battlefield archaeology projects he's been working on, and by Gordon Laco &
Matt Switlik on producing sound effects for the firing of different types
of muzzleloading artillery projectiles for the movie "Master and
      Commander."
