      Hello, Friendly and Generous Hams:

I would like to find someone who is willing to donate CW paddles to the
Silversides/McLane/LST-393. The question of having CW on the vessels came
up over the Museum Ships Event weekend and we thought, "why not and why
hasn't it happened yet?" Please contact me if you're willing to do this.

Conditions were stinko on Saturday. 1 contact for Silversides, 0 for
McLane, and I believe Bob had around 9 or so on the LST-393. Sunday, after
Bill, AB8SC, and I arrived on the McLane in the early afternoon, was a
better day. We weathered the daily monsoon that blew through the area. I
suggested that we try 17 meters and our first contact offered to spot us.
It was a lucky band for us and we ended up with 25-30 contacts before we
called it a day. We'd have to confirm the totals for the LST-393, but I
believe they did okay considering conditions.

      73,
      Linda, AB8QH
