      Writing Poetry 75

The leaves are full of the sky-ocean
      spilling over as rain droplets
that fall golden in the sunlight.

My soul’s poem cups the sun’s water
and drinks the clear golden kisses of this day.
      I am this waterway--
      this flowing of wonder
in the heart of a bathing Beauty
      that arises as every form.

      There is a sea-song
in the depths of this my vessel
that rides up as a wave
      to curl and cup
      the solar smiles of Love
within raindrops that reflect the universe.

      Today, I am the one
      God mentions in every movement
      as an ongoing poetry
      of Her expression to Be.
      It’s a pity
      to write such truth down
and not waterfall out of the sun,
      speaking as the raindrops do.

      love

      eric
