      The Wind

        Exegesis

        Poetry
Can you write it without pain
        Does it just happen
        like an accident

Or is Poetry a flower of frost
        melting at the touch
        A relentless hunger
        needy and ravenous

Sir William, we must have been dreaming the same dream.

          This morning I awakened with:

          Poeming

          I have no idea
          where
          I'm going
          with this poem
          it just 'feels right'
          to hold this blue pen
          in my hand and watch
          the words appear, as if
          I could do something
          about the weather
          and stop the rain.

          Smiles,
          Anna

            Such congruence
            Can not be explained
by the current understanding of science
            But that doesn't mean it can't be explained . . .

The lesson of the 'Open Hand'
            Is my most consistent failure
I so want to clutch I prides
            and prejudices
            Want to clutch your pen
            and write it all right
Want to stand outside your door
            And glow
            then burn
            then BURN!
            A column of Fire
            That pierces the sky
Sending the clouds away like frightened sheep
From the flames of the Dragon
After all my name is Burns . . .

            See
I fail to open my hand
            Because of Desire
            Because of Ego and Want
            So I look the fool
            again
Trying to grab something while holding
            something else
            I love this drama
            Wouldn't have it any other way . . .

William, you are a joy with
                  or without your X-Ray eyes,
                  naked or not,
                  here I come, with a spit-polished apple,
                  a serpent
and a tree full of half-eaten fruit,
                  a cool tall drink of

where DID I misplace MY 3D glasses?

LOL hugs and miles of smiles,

I hang my self in the museum
Not by the neck of course
                    But chained to the wall

                    There was that guy . . .
What was his name . . . Derick?
                    Anyway
                    He said I wasn't art
                    And the tiny girl
That just couldn't believe her eyes

But when the beatnik blurted out
                    "I just don't get it . . ."
                    I shouted
                    "It's me in 3-D!"

                    LOL ;)

Why do you bring me this naked Poetry? I am cold to its touch, what was love? I am hungry for its memory who was I, still dancing away? alone with these words?
