There is a public meeting on park conduct which is very interesting. You can comment online or directly to Sandy Brooks Sandy.BrooksATseattle.gov. There are code reviews on everything like dogs in parks, smoking, events, sexual misconduct, etc. (The spitting to be outlawed in parks you may have heard about refers to chew tobacco.)
The second draft that is getting commented on is here,
If you see anything at Greenwood Park or commented on the recent Greenwood Park design this is the place to say something!
The meeting will begin at 7:00 pm February 11 at Seattle Park Headquarters, 100 Dexter Avenue North.
Councilmember Sally Bagshaw, Chair of City Council's Parks and Seattle Center Committee, will attend. The agenda includes: a discussion and possible recommendation to the Superintendent on the draft Code of Conduct; and a public hearing on the draft Fees and Charges Setting Policy. You may sign up as early as 6:00 pm to testify, up to 2 minutes each, during the public hearing. Staff briefing papers, the draft policies, and information on submitting testimony to the Board are available on the Board's web page at http://www.seattle.gov/parks/parkboard/ . Please let me know if you have any questions. Sandy BrooksPark Board Coordinator(206) 684-5066
