Everything went well except for the fundraiser. We got a lot of free publicity, Marcial read our mention in the Daily Globe. Donna is interested in having us back next year. All our hard work seems to have paid off. All the left over wares are going to be used for future fundraisers. Marcial will try to obtain a receipt from Donna for the vender registration fee. Marcial gave all his receipts to Lady Finna.
Kathryn reminded the group that the deadline for the December edition of Scattered Stones is coming up on November 15th. She kindly reminded the officers to start working on their officer letters if they havenft done so already.
Marcial reminded people that the census is still going on and suggested everyone do it.http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/SCA2010Census
Itfs next weekend on the 30th. Marcial asked who is thinking of going and suggested that carpooling might be a good thing.
Lady Finnafs report is done and she had Marcial sign it. Group inventory was discussed as Lady Finna reported to us that next quarter an inventory of group assets and their whereabouts will have to be accrued.
Itfs a big event on Dec 4th in West Bend Wi. Marcial read off some information about it and asked if anyone would be interested in attending.
Lady Finna and Jeanette are the only nominees thus far. Marcial asked that everyone think it over and in two weeks we will have the official nominations be made, with a vote to be held soon thereafter.
Jack Frost Parade
The idea of putting a float in the Jack Frost parade was discussed. It is the first Friday in December, meaning the same weekend as Boarfs Head. Since many members would like to try to attend the event, it was decided that we would pass this year.
-The Thing and Gathering was followed by a delicious potluck meal consisting of lacto-fermented beef, cheesy broccoli soup, pork pie, rice, dauphinoise potatoes, and birthday cake in honor of Vara and Bullwhyf.
-Lady Finna racked 2 of her meads. A Lake Superior honey mead, and a raspberry mead- both very delicious even in their young age.
