      HERE COMES SUMMER "ICE CREAM" SOCIAL POTLUCK*, DEMO & VEGAN BAKE SALE (benefiting The Cow Sanctuary), Saturday May 21, 6pm, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 61 East Rt 70, Marlton NJ 08054. Presentation about benefits of a dairy-free lifestyle.
      Enjoy samples of frozen desserts with toppings. We will be holding a vegan bake sale with all proceeds going to Helga's Cow Sanctuary, Shiloh, NJ (thecowsanctuary.org). Donations of baked goods are welcome! Helga Tacreiter will be speaking about the sanctuary. Members: $2 single; $4 family; and Non-members: $5 single; $10 family.         TOUR OF CHEYENNE'S ROAD MARKET & FARM Sunday May 3, 3pm Mt Laurel NJ 08054                                                                                                              Join VSSJ on this 45 minute tour.  Learn some of their organic practices that you can apply to your garden.  See what's in the hothouses and what is already in the ground.  Wear appropriate shoes - there may be some mud.  Craig and Shannon, owners of Cheyenne's Road Market, are dedicated to growing the best produce that they can.  Besides not using any pesticides, they grow a wide variety of heirloom vegetables. VSSJ members: Individual $2, Family $4. Non-members: Individual $3, Family $5 (pay day of) After the tour (approx. 4:30pm), we will be getting a bite to eat at “b.good” located in The Promenade at  Sagemore, 500 Rte 73 S, Suite E-2, Marlton, NJ 08053 (remember to bring your vssj membership card to receive your 10% discount) Please reserve your spot by April 30th:  email thevssj@... or call 609-848-8341.  When you reserve your spot for  the farm tour, please let us know if you plan on joining us at B Good.

        MEMBER DRIVE and APPRECIATION DINNER An Evening of Great Food, Music, and Fun! Saturday May 16 - doors open at 5:30pm, dinner served promptly at 6pm. Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 61 East Rt 70, Marlton NJ 08053. VSSJ will provide a cooked-on-site 4-course dinner.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         Menu:  Soup, Salad, Bread, Lasagne, Mini Sundae, and Beverage. The food will be GMO-free and mostly organic!

        For each person in your party, bring a vegetarian potluck dish that serves 6-8, with an ingredient list.  Vegan is preferred but not required; vegetarian is required.  CJVG will provide beverages and grill items.  Bring a place setting (plate, fork, cup, etc.) for yourself to help us reduce our use of paper and plastic "throw-away" products.  Bring lawn chairs and games.  RSVP to CJVG by June 12:  908-281-6388.  Rain date 6/28 (RSVP by 6/27).

        Join VSSJ for a family-friendly potluck picnic at this Burlington County park has several miles of nice hiking trails,  and an adjacent playground.  Children can participate in a scavenger hunt, and there will be games for the adults.  We'll have a  covered pavilion, so this event is rain or shine.
        Please review the VSSJ potluck guidelines.
        Members:  $1, $3 family; non-members:  $3, $8 family (to cover pavilion reservation fee).
        Be green:  get $1 off ($3 family) if you bring reusable place settings!
