The owners of 339 Tocoloma Ave are proposing a "horizontal and vertical addition" to their building. They will have a meeting on May 9th 6pm-7pm at their home to "identify any issues and concerns prior to submitting the building permit application". All interested and/or concerned should attend to give the design your feed back.

The Planning Department requires that certain projects undergo a pre application meeting with neighbors before they will accept the construction application. Horizontal additions over a certain height automatically triggers this requirement. Only properties within a certain radius from the site will get a notice in the mail. Attending the meeting doesn't indicate support or opposition to the project. The owners can still submit plans unchanged if they choose. The public can still voice support or opposition after the plans are submitted.

The owners contact info: John and Zhao Xie 415-676-9688

Designer contact info: Carolyn Liu / Paul Shek 415-468-2702

The last I heard from a realtor was that he had a settlement from his insurance company of $400,000 and wanted to sell it as is for $800,000 but that was over a year ago.  We could ask Yvonne Mere she's the DA that was handling the stay away order and all the issues surrounding the owner if she knows.   Edie

            Russel,

Thanks for the update. I wouldn't have gotten this info & I'm very concerned that people don't start modifying homes so they become too big, and out of character for the neighborhood - I'll definitely be there.
