      Join Supervisor Malia Cohen and Planning Director John Rahaim at a forum on Eastern Neighborhood Planning


      Date: Wednesday, October 2, 2013
      Time: 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
      Location: International Studies Academy
      655 De Haro Street (map)
       
      Date: Saturday, October 5, 2013
      Time: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
      Location: California College of the Arts
      1111 8th Street (map)
       
      For your convenience, the forum is being offered at two different times, and will present the same material on the Eastern Neighborhoods. Residents are encouraged to RSVP in advance at (415) 554-7670 or cohenstaff@.... For language assistance or disability accommodations, please contact us with your request at least 48 hours in advance of the forum.
       
      At both forums, Supervisor Malia Cohen and the Planning Department will:
      • Review the objectives and history of the Eastern Neighborhoods Plan as well as discuss how it fits with plans for regional growth.
      • Provide an overview of the development and entitlement process in the Eastern Neighborhoods including the types of approvals projects may apply for and how the Planning Department conducts environmental review.
      • Discuss the implementation of the Eastern Neighborhoods Plan including the role of the Eastern Neighborhoods Citizens Advisory Committee, allocation of development impact fees and the prioritization of capital projects.
      Please note that we will not be discussing particular development projects that are currently proposed within the Eastern Neighborhoods.
