For those that couldnt make the meeting last week about the proposed renovations at Little Hollywood Park, below are a few bullet points from the Rec and Park presentation.  The meeting had a pretty good turnout, about 20-25 people. The project’s scope is fairly straight forward, mostly grading the site, adding a new walking path, and new landscaping. An ADA complainant two stall parking space will be added which caused some controversy. Issues relating to lighting within the park and poor lighting along the dead end street were major concerns expressed. Illegal activities associated with the remoteness of the upper portion of the parks were of concern. Better lighting and adding entry gates were suggested and debated, both of which are not included in the current scope of the project.  According to the Rec and Park staff, the project is moving forward as they investigate the policy regarding gates and lighting. A representative from Supervisor Cohen's office was in attendance and took note of the issues that will need additional dialogue.
