      All

The Korean church on Lathrop kindly met with a few residents to discuss their project to demolish a portion of the bungalows and replace them with a multipurpose room. They plan to use the space primarily for youth activities.

Based upon what they describe, the new building would have little visual impact from Little Hollywood, the most noticeable face will be on Tunnel Rd. They selected a metal skinned building purposely to give it a more contemporary look and feel.

The item will be heard at the Planning Commission on Thrusday. If all goes as planned, demolition and construction will begin in July. The building should be completed by the end of the year.

The youth pastor is very willing to engage the neighborhood and is looking forward to greater communications in the future. During the meeting it was mentioned that the homeless encampments along Tunnel Rd are a constant problem.

If you notice excessive litter and prolonged encampments along Tunnel Rd, call DPW at 28-Clean or DPT at 415-553-1200.

The non-emergency number for the SFPD illegal encampment detail is

      415-254-7120.

For odor complaints call the Bay Area Air Quality Management Board

      1-800-Complaint

It may also be helpful to call the garbage company directly  to complain about litter, noise, dust or general environmental quality issues.

SF Recycling and Disposal Co directly at 415-657-4003.
