Personally, I’m coming to terms with now having two ruptured vertebral disks instead of the single one “enjoyed” three weeks ago. So just about all my projects are on hold for the next few weeks, at least until I better feel for what I can still do.

Well such is life; I’ll get it all done, even if it does take me two lifetimes!

I'm taking 200mg of morphine a day (100 b.i.d.)....don't even cop a buzz, but it does stop the pain, bro.

Sorry to hear about that, I know what the pain is like.

            Message 5 of 7 , Nov 7 5:15 PM

Tramadol is my friend, Jim <GG> I have done L5/S1 (the spine to hip disk) and L4/L5 (the new one). My sciatic nerve had been giving me hell for the past couple of months so my Doc sent me of to be (as he puts it) barbequed, several X-rays, a CT and an MRI and I now KNOW I have a degenerative back problem.

My back specialist said I’m not a candidate, as he put it; either a 40% chance of not being paralysed and a 60% chance of paralysis, or IF (big if there) I wasn’t paralysed then there was only a 40% chance of them making it better. Not worth it in his or my opinion! I too take Morphine, I only need it to get some sleep though (but I spend my days in a fair amount of discomfort, but that just helps to keep me inactive!), and yes a similar dose and no buzz here either, does give me a good night’s sleep though!

Well it may “settle” if I can give it enough rest over the next couple of months, but the way things are going I just don’t know!

I’m real sorry to find a fellow VacuumX member is also a member of the crook back club; we should have to know what this feels like!

              Cheers, Thomas.

I got lots of new astro images but none of the vacuum stuff.  I could take some of the vacuum stuff if you want to see what I got before we meet.  The vaccum pump is a monster.  It came directly from the factory with new refurbishment taggs.
