Re: [VLF_Group] Paul's Whistler Detector...........
- Hi Mark,
It's working ok. The timestamp on vlf1 is the correct one,
actually the whistler passed through 8kHz at 22:03:48.612
but since vlf3 doesn't carry a timestamp, the event detector
assigns a time from the system clock as it detects the
event. This can be a couple of minutes behind when there's a
lot of whistler activity as there was earlier - the signal
queues up in a buffer waiting to be analysed.
- Turns out the clock is controlled by Xen in dom0 and it's
well out on this Chicago host.
Anyway I can make mine independent of dom0 with
echo 1 > /proc/sys/xen/independent_wallclock
and now ntpdate, etc works.
Thanks Doug and Mark, well spotted.
