  • I not a supporter of the social media methodologies. Quite honestly, I think this forum works well. So please, no to face book! • Hi Doug, In defense of Dave, (not that he needs defending), I think where Dave is coming from may be due to the over use of macros. I’ve found this to be especially true with a lot of PSK ops. As a matter of fact, I will very quickly conclude a QSO if the other party is constantly depending upon use of macros. For me, this makes a QSO boring! Now then, having said that, I do...

  • Rick, Thanks. Will read the H4 Protocol Spec and with regard to your 10.123 beacon, will report later. By the way, I have no problem sleeping but I do get up early (0200) to get my 1.5 hour regiment of exercise out of the way. Have a super day and Happy Thanksgiving! • Pete, Yes, I have used both my 3000 and 5000 without difficulty. You obviously have paired your PTT with another com port. Use this com port as your PTT control. Also,, (in PWSDR), be sure to set delay time to 0ms. If you need further assistance, look me up on QRZ.com, drop me an email and we can set up a time where I can either call you on the phone or use Skype. My Skype address...

  • Ric, I don’t have any screen shots although I can make one for you. However, I think you may need to use a program that creates a virtual com port versus FLDIGI as your rig control. There are two that come to mind and either one is good. The first is Com0Com and is available via the Flex Radio knowledge base http://kc.flexradio.com/KnowledgebaseArticle50062.aspx and the other...
