Rick, you can if desired extend your V4 sound card TNC to log QSOs directly to DXKeeper, the logging component of the free-ware DXLab Suite. This is done by sending an ADIF record to DXKeeper via either DDE or TCP/IP. If you're interested, let me know and I'll provide the details.
