Group Description

Welcome to the Urban Agriculture Forum. This group aims to encourage city dwellers to grow their own vegetables and fruits. Not only that prices of veggies and fruits become exorbitant, most of the ones you buy from the market are not fresh anymore thereby losing many of its nutrients and natural sweetnes. This group invites those who wants to eat fresh vegetables from their very own farm: CONTAINERS! Here, we hope not only to encourage but teach proper methods of Urban Agriculture. We will invite experts and professionals to help us along the way.
Here, we discuss various practices or cultural management of different vegetables where experts or experienced once will guide beginners or enthusiasts. While we may not totally eradicate chemicals, we hope to encourage everyone to go organic as home gardens are easier to manage to make it as such.

Feel free to learn with us or share with us your knowledge on farming. Soon, we maybe able not only exchange ideas and expertise but our own produce as well. Please visit our files and photo section for helpful materials and ideas for your home garden. Do invite your friends and neighbors to join us or better yet enjoin the whole community where you belong. We hope everyone here can be practicing urban farmers, not just talks but actual experiences.

Happy Gardening!

For our new members, pls visit our files section for some materials as starters. You may also read previous postings. Feel free to post your questions and we have members more than willing to share their knowledge and experiences. Most posts and members are Filipinos and experiences are based on Philippine setting and climate but we are not exclusively Filipinos here. We have been 'globalized' because Filipinos have scattered all over the globe, so we welcome everyone who just love gardening and wants to grow their own food.
