FRAMINGCON update (Feb 8th - 10th), Super Bowl, Mystery Hunt in March, and more
- The next Framingcon is just over a month away. We survived the apocalypse,
so I guess I will have to clean up the house...
As always, all members of Unity Games, MENSA, meetup, and friends are
The weekend will feature a mix of board games, party games, card games,
cheesy movies, and more. I will provide dinner Saturday night. Sleeping space
is still available for those who want to stay over.
Jerry has volunteered (even before I asked for help) to run the Saturday
night party game. It will be a bit different this time - he describes it as
being like "Whose Line is it anyway"
I will need to be sneaking away from Unity Games for a few hours to help
Frank and Stacey each celebrate their 50th birthdays, but would like to do
something here for them as well - that means you have to make an appearance,
Stacey - let me know when :)
I've been doing these things for so long now that I am running out of
things to say. The regulars know what to expect, but if you have not yet been
to one, and want more information, feel free to contact me.
In other news:
The Super Bowl party will be in the theater on Sunday February 3rd, whether
the Patriots are there or not. Reserve your seat now.
I will be hosting Alf's Mystery Hunt on Saturday March 9th at 11:00. This
is a small non-competitive hunt, and if you are getting this email, you are
welcome to attend. Unlike the MIT Hunt, this is a low-key affair. Teams are
sorted randomly, and there is no special prize for being the first to
finish. It's just a fun way to exercise your brain and meet people. If you are
not attending, and would like to help test solve my puzzles, please let me
know. I should have them done by the end of next month.
Unity Games is 3 weeks away, and the deadline for pre-pays is fast
approaching. If you have not already done so and would like to prepay on order to
save $8, please let me know soon, ($12 in advance or $20 at the door).
FRAGS continues to meet every Thursday night, and movies are shown in the
theater every Tuesday night. This week's movie will be:
Romeo and Juliet vs the Living Dead
Again, all are welcome.
As a reminder, parking in 2013 in Framingham is on the ODD side of the
Lastly, it looks like I will be needing a new tenant as of March 1st. If
you or anyone you know is looking for a place, please contact me. You get
full use of the house and the theater for only $500/month including utilities.
That's it for now. I hope to see you all soon.
