Ultrapick of the Day: Blink-182 "Man Overboard"

The "responsibility" of writing a catchy pop song is usually left to people
from Sweden named Max Martin, or Americans named Diane Warren - Not to three
suburban punks from California. But damnit, Blink-182 are the punk-pop guilty
      pleasure of the USA.

Typically, those who reserve their musical tastes for the indie scene
wouldn't be caught dead humming along to "All the Small Things," or "Say It
Ain't So," but once doors are closed... They would however, proudly wear an
      Idlewild T-shirt.

So what happens when Blink-182 release a song that sounds like it could've
been a song from the Great Scots? Simply, Blink's "Man Overboard" sounds like
it was written by the Scottish punk-ish band called Idlewild. Perhaps not so
much in the lyrics as much as in the harmony. Blarg! Nobody who has sworn off
Blink-182 will admit to liking this song, but maybe they should just consider
      it.
