- You need to turn on the rf amps as well as set the appropriate vhf/uhf filtering in order to get any power. From there you also need to set the PA bias to set the amount of power. There is more more register to set the inter MCU LNA, but you should not need to mess with that (If you do, just look at the docs I have online). Just make sure you are not transmitting on unauthorized channels.I have not had a chance to work on the firmwere, but I am hoping to get back to it soon (Its hard to finish, since I am using the radio for what I want). 1001 (0x9) VFM Off and css outputRegister 0x0A set the pb gain on the amp (from the datasheet). Here are the values (the higher the voltage the more power you have).000000: 1.01V

If you can only get 20 feet, the problem is not the transmit power.
Which software are you using?
- The git ignore file has tidied things up but has also removed the firmware image from the repository.
I am keen to experiment with an external, small micro, squirting data into the UV3R serial port for display on the UV3R LCD.
If I can avoid building the firmware that would be cool!!
