      The Department of Astronomy and the American Astronomical Society
      will be hosting a free public lecture this Friday, October 17, at
      7:00 p.m. in Welch Hall room 2.224. The talk is titled "Einstein's
      Biggest Blunder? The Case for Cosmic 'Antigravity'" and will be
      presented by Professor Alex Filippenko of the University of
      California-Berkeley. The lecture is part of the American Astronomical
      Second Century Lectures series and also part of a two-day event honoring
      the retirement of Frank Bash as Director of the McDonald Observatory.
