Re: [USAICO] C1 upgrades
CrossVegas- We desire Cat 1 status and are committed to remaining Cat 1, under the new prizelist, as long as Interbike remains in Vegas.
Boulder Cup weekend- 2 Cat 1 races. We wish to remain Cat 1 for one race and upgrade to Cat 1 for the other. In other words, we're committed to 2 Cat 1 races on the same weekend in Boulder, including the new prizelist, for years to come.
Sorry for the disjointed message, I'm traveling with Tour of California. Contact me if you have any questions.

To the organizers who put in for C1 upgrades for next year and were denied,
The final decision on your upgrades will be discussed and made at the
commission meeting next week. The reasons for the denials are the fear that
those events will be upgraded this year, and revert back to C2 the following
season when the new prize money scales go into effect.
For those organizers that are looking to upgrade, if you can demonstrate
that you have a long-term plan for your event to remain C1 when the prize
money increases, then I can support your bid to upgrade to the commission,
and I believe I can make a strong enough case that it will be approved.
With that in mind, please e-mail me directly with the information I need to
make the case on your behalf. Or conversely, let me know that you don't
believe that you would be able to remain C1 in 2009-2010.
Carousel Volkswagen Jingle Cross Rock I planned on 29 November 2008 can't be
upgraded because it conflicts with a World Cup, so the races in question
- Gran Prix of Gloucester #1, Gloucester (MA) / 11.10.2008
- Carousel Volkswagen Jingle Cross Rock 2, Iowa City (Iowa) / 30.11.2008
- Biowheels / United Dairy Farmers UCI Harbin Park, Cincinnati / 12.10.2008
- USGP of Cyclocross Mercer Cup, West Windsor (New Jersey) / 15+16.11.2008
- Cross Vegas, Las Vegas (Nevada) / 24.09.2008
We all obviously want to see these events upgraded, so again, please reply
directly to me with your long-term plan! I have to submit my information to
the commission on Sunday, so I need this ASAP. Like, today. Sorry about the
