Pastor Won't Face Methodist Church Trial
      By Julia McCord, Omaha World-Herald,
      http://www.omaha.com/index.atp?u_div=3&u_hdg=0&u_sid=72856

Nebraska United Methodists have been spared the spectacle of putting
another of their pastors on trial.

A church investigative committee has concluded that the church cannot
prove that the Rev. Mark Kemling performed a covenant ceremony June 3
for two men at the Metropolitan Community Church in Omaha. <MORE>

Homecoming was a little bit different this year at Oral Roberts
University (ORU) in Tulsa, Oklahoma as some of its gay and lesbian
alumni dared to come out to their non-gay schoolmates. <SNIP>

ORU public relations director David Wagner told the Tulsa World the
school did not want to "pre-judge" anyone but rather to "view
      everyone
with a Christian attitude and to reach out to all people." That puts
      it
miles ahead of Bob Jones University, which once advised a gay alum he
would be arrested for trespassing if he visited the campus.
