      Cheney's Wife Blasts Eminem
      Associated Press
      Lynne Cheney said Tuesday she is ``amazed and dismayed'' that rock
      star Elton John is going to perform at the Grammys with rapper
      Eminem, whose lyrics chronicle violence against women and gays.
      <SNIP>
      ``Elton John has been good in the past about speaking out on issues
      of equality for gay people, on issues of being against violent
      language against gay people,'' she said. ``I am quite amazed and
      dismayed that he would choose to perform with Eminem.'' <MORE>

      Sex Researcher Masters Dies
      PlanetOut News
      http://dailynews.yahoo.com/h/po/20010220/co/sex_researcher_masters_dies_1.html

      SUMMARY: His name (paired with Johnson's) became synonymous with the
      changing attitudes towards sexuality in the 60s and 70s, but he
      missed the mark regarding gays and AIDS.
      <SNIP>
      Masters was criticized for not condemning homosexual acts, but
      although he assisted gays and lesbians experiencing sexual
      dysfunction, he also claimed a high rate of success for "converting"
      those who wished to change to a heterosexual! orientation.
