      Belt Drives;

      Engine RPM is controled by throttle position and gear selection based on desired speed taveled. Belt speed doesnt change at 50 MPH but RPM "WILL" depending on gear selection. The same at 100 miles per hour. If you are in a lower gear your RPM will be higher but at any given speed BELT SPEED will not change.

      Just my 2 cents
