I agree with Glenn. Incorrect polarity will have blown the rectifier and in turn the main fuse. Sent from my iPhone

Correct.  The main fuel feed from the screen travels through a nipple into the fuel spacer. The nipple is sealed with a round o-ring.  The auxiliary fuel
