The problem, Elizabeth, as far I can see, is that if you believe that God could do bad or create morally evil people--or worse, dictate that certain people will commit murder or rape...or if you believe that God Himself could lie or commit murder or bring harm to anyone or anything, then you have been misled and are interpreting Scripture wrongly. That cannot be the work of the Holy Spirit. Scripture teaches that God is perfect, Holy and Righteous..that He is just and that He is pure love. God does not approve of the wicked and does not take pleasure in the fact that some will perish in their sin.

the problem, no reply, is that you are confusing God's perfect creation with the acts that God does. not only that, but you are passing judgement on what God does. what you are doing is what adam sought and was the first sin- you want to look at what God does and pass judgment on it- you want to decide what is good and what is evil, instead of just trusting God that what he does is good.

jesus indeed did keep the law as mant christians and jews try to do, but jesus was a jew, both ethnically, and relgiously, there were no christians until after the day of pentecost

you are assuming that households included babies, and you try to prove a positive with a negative- that is fallacious reasoning- that would be like me claiming that they baptized elephants, and i would support that by saying that it never says that they didn't baptize elephants.
