This group is a very informal group of people who model Z Scale (1:220) railroading in the New York City Metro Area. Members are welcome from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Also anyone modeling in Z Scale in the Northeast corridor is welcome as are European modelers. This group is based in the metropolitan New York/Tri-State area and dedicated to the hobby we all share and love. If you live outside of this area and want to attend meetings, please note they will be held in the Tri-State Metropolitan area.
Ask your questions on just about anything related to Z Scale, Model Railroading, and general railroad history; we have some very knowledgeable members in the group.
The goals are to keep this group dues-free (with everyone chipping in for lunch), be a local source for information, and to help us all mutually progress in our hobby, at whatever level we are at individually. We usually meet the first Saturday of the month and support the building of both modules as a group and individual layouts. We have shown at train shows and plan to participate at future shows.
This is an open forum and is a democracy. There is no one right course of action and there is no idea that should not be put up for discussion.
