Group Description

Hello and Welcome to the Group Traditional Witchcraft,

This list exists as a primary resource for those folks interested in esoteric studies of various natures and the sharing of associated lore and myth connected with the Old Craft that is also known as Traditional Witchcraft. The term Traditional here refers to a specific European/British Isles frame of reference and encompasses a decidedly Non-Wiccan usage.

This specific form of Traditional Witchcraft is a departure from anything considered New Age as it has for a historical foundation the legends, ballads, and lore from hundreds of years ago that is found in the symbolism of nursery rhymes, faery tales, old wive's tales and the like.

Topics may include Earth Mysteries, Mythology, Folklore, European Shamanism and related avenues of interest.
