(Weekly Listserve Update #143)  Another Thursday, another group update.  This past week 17 new track visits by seven individuals were added to the database.  All were from 2013, all but one from the past week.

Jeff Sands has often been able to leave on Friday mornings, and not have to be at work until late Monday afternoon.  A working man TrackChaser dream schedule.  He used that same weekend plan and a schedule that included an afternoon and evening event in Michigan, and a "two tracks for one" show in New York, to see racing at six new tracks last weekend.

While Jeff headed North, his travel partner from earlier this year, Gordy Killian, headed South.  Gordy visited a pair of new tracks in North Carolina, and another in Tennessee.  When last spotted, Gordy followed Jeff's path to Michigan, a couple of days later, for the midweek Sprint Car show on the Berlin Dirt.  If successful, that would be the first new track for next week.

Mike Knappenberger joined Jeff for the weekend, with half of Jeff's six new tracks being first time visits for Mike.

Roland Vanden Eynde had yet another Autocross weekend in Belgium and the Netherlands.  Both of the race sites Roland visited were brand new locations and tracks in the TCDB (that's the TrackChaser Data Base, not frozen custard).  Roland is very much looking forward to this week's trip to the UK to see some paved track road racing, his racing type of choice, after a string of Autocross events.  Roland has now been to 50 new tracks in 2013.

John Moore joined Gordy in North Carolina at the mixed surface Rallycross race at Charlotte Motor Speedway's Dirt Track.  From the reports received from each, it does not sound like they ran into each other.  John, who had been to the TORC race on the all dirt off road circuit at the same location, said he enjoyed the TORC Trucks much more than the GRC Rallycross.

Chris Tyrrel added Selinsgrove Raceway Park to his track list.  While he enjoyed the racing for the Micro Sprints and Slingshots, he said the $25 admission price would rule out a return visit.

There was rumor that Edward Corrado was at the Bloomsburg Fair figure-8 race, but Pam and I didn't see him, nor did he check in during the week so we will wait for confirmation.  Pam Smith was rained out at Middle Road, PA.

The final new added track was for Sir Stirling Moss, one of our esteemed Project Drivers.  Moss was confirmed to have attended the Faelledporken historic races in Denmark in August.  This was Sir Stirling's first recorded new track in 2013, bringing the total listed on the website for this year to 42.  Sir Stirling, now age 84, was 83 in August when he was at the race.  That makes him the oldest to add a new track this year, beating out 82 year old Virginia Schuler.  Moss is third oldest all-time behind Pappy Hough and Chris Economaki.

All the races added last week were held on the weekend, as the midweek shows rapidly slow for the season.  Roland's two tracks were at new locations, while the Charlotte mixed surface road circuit at The Dirt Track was a new track for a very busy location.  Races have been added in each of the 38 weeks of 2013 so far.

The 17 new tracks added during the past week brings the 2013 tally to 663.  But.......That's not enough, we want more!
