Let no one say that TrackChasing is not a year-round hobby. Here's an AMAZING group statistic.
I searched all new track visits that included the date of the race, and discovered that as a group, we have seen a race on 363 of the 366 different dates of the year.
The only three dates where no one has reported seeing a race are December 23, 24, & 25. Anyone know of any races that were run on those dates?
I also checked my personal track visits and found that I have seen a race on 330 different dates. As of my 2013 schedule right now, which is very tentative and incomplete, I have new track visits penciled in for two dates that would be new for me.
If anyone else would like me to calculate that statistic for their individual track list, just let me know and I would be most happy to do so. Of course it would require that the majority of your track visits already include the dates of the visit.
Another stat I looked at it was new tracks per month. I was surprised that my fewest new tracks were in November, not December, January, or March. Not surprisingly, my most new tracks were in August. Again, I would be glad to do that research for anyone that would like, as long as your track list includes the dates visited.
I love looking at data in different ways.

I just checked out the number of new trackvisits I have in each month of
the year and November is also my leanest month. Not surprisingly, July
is the runaway favorite, due to all the big trackchasing trips taken
during work shutdown that month.
