- It was Tracfone. I got the same message, mine said it was Tracfone Wireless
at the beginning of the message. Maybe your answering machine didn't start
recording in time. Sometimes mine does that with recorded messages. I did
the update and it worked fine.

roaming lists are usually updated quarterly.
Verizon's last update was about a month ago,
I think April 27th. I haven't seen a date for
If given a choice, just update the roaming list
and don't reactivate/reprogram/update the phone.
TDMA and GSM phones automatically update roaming
and carrier phone programming.
