Subject: Conference announcements December 2006: TOURISM AFTER OIL / BEYOND NATURE

      Dear Colleagues

The Department of Tourism at the University of Otago is hosting the ATLAS Asia-Pacific conference and the New Zealand Tourism and Hospitality Research Conference (NZTHRC) in December 2006. The conferences are being run consecutively between the 4-8 December.

The theme of the ATLAS conference is 'Tourism after oil' and for the NZTHRC conference 'Beyond nature'.

The conferences cover a range of significant contemporary themes in tourism, leisure and hospitality research and will feature a number of panel sessions and debates, open sessions and a public lecture.

Further details are included in the attached flyer and on the conference website that can be found at http://www.otago.ac.nz/tourism

      regards

      Michael
