      Make this yourChina Strategy!

China is a country of great opportunities for all sizes and types of businesses - not just large multinationals. U.S. companies, small or large, should have a China strategy to take full advantage ofChina 's booming economy.China is host of the 2008 Olympics and its exceptional economic growth continues as the country further integrates with the global economy.  With a GDP of $10 trillion and a 10.5% growth rate,China in 2006 stood as the second-largest economy in the world.U.S. companies are benefiting from the needs generated by China 's growth, as evidenced by rapid and sustained increases inU.S. exports toChina , which totaled $777.9 billion in 2006 while imports totaled $974 billion.  Thus, China isAmerica 's second-largest trading partner in terms of total trade.China is also amongFlorida 's top trading partners, ranked number five in 2006, with a trade volume of $5.6 billion - an 18.6% increase over 2005.  The Zim and Emirates Asia-Gulf Express weekly container service added in 2005, connects thePort of Tampa with major seaports inChina and promises to channel more and more of this trade volume through our area.
