Largest Regional Library in Hillsborough County to be Dedicated
The Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library System will dedicate its newest
branch, the SouthShore Regional Library located at 15816 Beth Shields Way in
Ruskin, on Thursday, Nov. 9 at 10 a.m. Nearby residents can celebrate with
County Commissioners with a dedication ceremony, a tour, and refreshments.
The Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners funded the
construction of the 40,000-square-foot library in part with a $500,000 grant
from the Florida Department of State. Division of Library and Information
Services provided additional support for construction of the 25th branch in
the local library system.
The SouthShore Regional Public Library offers a full range of services
including materials in a variety of formats, a 20- seat computer lab, rooms
for public meetings and quiet study, a Genealogy Center, the John Crawford
Art Education Studio, a children's department and programs for people of all
ages. Hours of operation are: Monday through Thursday: 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.,
Friday: 9 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Saturday: 9 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Sunday: 12:30 -
