Three Oaks Subdivision Residents,
Many of you may have noticed the irrigation water had been turned off for several days. It has been turned back on as of 7:30am today, Thursday, May 30.
As a reminder, this year the snow pack was very low which reduces the amount of water that is allocated for irrigation. With the cooler weather and good rainfall it was decided to shut down the pumps to conserve water. Our best estimation is that we will have water to the end of September BUT only if we conserve our irrigation usage. We will continue to monitor the situation and determine if we need to plan scheduled pump off day(s), if needed, in an attempt to keep us all with irrigation water for the rest of the season.
How you can help conserve irrigation water
Water three or less times per week (use the water budget feature if your controller has one)
Water only until runoff begins
Raise mowing height (3" or slightly higher)
Use a mulching blade and leave cuttings on the lawn
We welcome your feedback on other ways to conserve water or other tips for drought conditions.
