Group Description

We are researching Thomas McLain, Baptist Minister, who was born in North Carolina about 1771 and died in Greene County, Tennessee May 3, 1855. Thomas married Elizabeth Duff in North Carolina and moved to Tennessee. Elizabeth was born about 1773 in North Carolina and died in Greene County, Tennessee in 1860. Their Children were Deborah, Elizabeth, George, Joseph, John, Nancy, Daniel, Clark, Murrel, and Jonathan. We are wanting to connect with more cousins. We are also looking to find out who Thomas' father was. Some think he was Alexander McLain of NC. My ultimate goal is take this McLain family back to Scotland.
