Group Description

This is the open discussion and study fellowship of inquirers, catechumens, converts and cradle Orthodox Christians in the El Paso, Juarez, Las Cruces area.

THIS is the faith of the Apostles, this is the faith of the Fathers, this is the faith of the Orthodox; this faith hath established the Church. . . .

This fellowship seeks to help pilgrims in their walk to become like Christ, pursuing the Way, the Truth, and the Life, with the virtues of obedience, fidelity and love in Truth, and not to be chocolate soldiers who melt in the sun of temptation of the things of the world (money, property, prestige, egoismos, vanity, and pride).

This community fellowship forum serves distance and homebound Orthodox, catechumens, and parents and home educators looking for materials to learn about Orthodoxy.

AS THE PROPHETS have seen, as the apostles have taught, as the Church has received, as the teachers have set forth in dogmas, as the world has understood, as grace has shone forth, as the truth was demonstrated, as falsehood was banished, as wisdom was emboldened, as Christ has awarded, thus do we believe, thus do we speak, thus do we preach the holy and immaculate and blameless Faith, by the grace of our true God, Who said, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away."

Do not forget -- Christ left a Church, not a book. It was the Church that gave us the Book. To take the Book out of the context it came from is ultimately responsible for the 30,000 denominations that claim to be Christian, with 5 new ones born each week. Keep the faith. Keep the traditions that were taught. We hope these resources help.
