I shall enlighten you, the faithful, on the muddled history of Super Show! DVD releases. We shall eschew those freebies that plagued your Fruity Pebbles amidst this afflicted era.

Several years ago, DiC Entertainment released a pair of DVDs (Mario's Greatest Movie Moments and King Koopa Katastrophe) which contained random episodes of The Super Show and The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3. However, the DVDs were of questionable quality and did not feature live action segments.

To make amends, UAV Entertainment was set to release all 52 episodes of The Super Show! chronologically, with 4 episodes per DVD (plus the corresponding Zelda episode). On July 6, 2004, Volume 1: Mario Mania! was released and featured an interview of sorts with the director and creator of The Super Show!, Andy Heyward. The show was supposed to be released in its entirety but no other installments were released.

Instead of continuing to release poorly produced DVDs in paltry packaging, DiC turned the project over to Shout! Factory. A new Volume 1 was finally released on March 28, 2006, containing the first 24 episodes of the Super Show.
The aptly titled Volume 2, which contains the remaining 28 episodes, was released on October 31, 2006. Now for the first time, every single episode is available in a legal, clean, collective package.
